Interpretation Signs
We have been making interpretation signs for councils and nature trusts for almost 60 years. Whether our clients want one or two signs or hundreds of them we put the same care and attention into each and every one. In fact we have made over 10,000 interpretations signs in our factory and are proud to see them provide visitors with all sorts of information about various places of interest over many years.

Metroguard
It’s a sad fact that one of the primary considerations for interpretation signs nowadays is how vandal proof they are. Metroguard has been designed to beat vandals by combining high quality manufacturing techniques with robust materials and features specifically designed to make them impenetrable.
Metroguard interpretation signs have no doors, no locks or hinges and come with 4mm high impact thermoplastic windows that are virtually unbreakable. In the unlikely event that the window is damaged it can be quickly and easily removed, using the special allen key supplied, and a new window can be fitted in a matter of minutes.
And if updates or amendments to the information displayed need to be made, whether on a temporary or permanent basis, the allen key can be used to move the window and the changes or additions can be made simply and speedily.
Metroguard signs are also designed to be long lasting even in hostile environments such as salt laden sea air and are fabricated from totally rustproof, ultra strong stainless steel which is powder coated and stove enamelled for additional durability.
The interpretative signs are digitally printed in full colour or screenprinted in our factory onto rigid PVC panels using strong solvent based inks, then coated with a clear UV resistant barrier to resist fading and weather damage.
Metroguards can be wall mounted, mounted onto our stainless steel posts (giving a hidden fixing) or we can manufacture the fixing holes to suit the clients own posts or for wall mounting. The Metroguard is available in a range of sizes.
